The South Route is a <strong>rollercoaster<\/strong> of experiences. This is the only 8-day trip where we cross the border into <strong>Turkey<\/strong>, party in the &#8216;St. Tropez of Greece&#8217; (Symi), dance in an <strong>abandoned village<\/strong> on Tilos, and climb an <strong>active volcano<\/strong> on Nisyros.<\/p>\n<p>This route perfectly balances challenging sailing days with unique discoveries on land.<\/p>\n<p>Sailing experience itself is absolutely not required \u2013 the skipper and crew are happy to teach you the ropes! What is important is that you understand our &#8216;camping on the water&#8217; vibe. We recommend this trip if you love a healthy dose of adventure and a week full of cultural discoveries and unique parties.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s an example of the South Route:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/u\/1\/embed?mid=1xixIjrTFL_IB_f85Ede9enjJbPl2VIQv\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><strong>Day 1 (Saturday): Kick-off on Kos!<\/strong> Welcome aboard! From 6:00 PM, you can check into your floating home. You&#8217;ll meet the rest of the crew, we&#8217;ll sort out the cabins, and kick off the trip with drinks. No nautical miles today; we&#8217;re diving into Kos town with the group for our first Greek dinner and exploring the city.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2 (Sunday): Crossing to Turkey!<\/strong> Cast off! We sail across the border and explore the Turkish coast. We sail past the westernmost point, Cape Knidos, on our way to the picturesque harbor of Palamut. We&#8217;ll eat at Adamik&#8217;s, or (if the wind is right) sail on to Mesudiye for the legendary Turkish mezzes (tapas) at Ogun\u2019s Place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3 (Monday): Glamour on &#8216;St. Tropez&#8217; Symi!<\/strong> We hoist the sails back to Greece. Destination: Symi, possibly the most beautiful harbor in the Mediterranean. Prepare for those iconic, colorful houses (UNESCO World Heritage). This is the &#8216;St. Tropez of Greece&#8217;, with a surprisingly bustling nightlife. Time to conquer the town!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 4 (Tuesday): Authentic Chalki<\/strong> Today features a serious day of sailing. We set course for Chalki, the smallest inhabited island in Greece. The Venetian style and the super cozy boulevard full of terraces make this the perfect place to relax after the long journey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 5 (Wednesday): HIGHLIGHT: The Tilos Open-Air Disco!<\/strong> Brace yourself for a <strong>tough<\/strong> sailing day to Tilos. But the reward is more than worth it! We moor in the bay of Livadia. After dinner, it&#8217;s time for something unique: high in the mountains lies the abandoned village of Mikro Chorio, which has been transformed into a bizarre open-air disco. Dancing under the stars!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 6 (Thursday): HIGHLIGHT 2: The Nisyros Volcano!<\/strong> Today we sail to Nisyros, the volcano island. We moor in the small harbor of Pali and aim to arrive around 4:00 PM. Why? So we can take a van up the volcano. The view from the crater rim is <strong>breathtaking<\/strong>. You can hear the sulfur hissing and even step into a natural sauna!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 7 (Friday): Hot Springs &amp; Kos by Night!<\/strong> The last sailing day back to Kos. But we&#8217;re not done yet! We make an epic swim stop at the Therma, the natural hot springs on the south side of Kos. Afterwards, we sail back to the marina (arriving around 4:00 PM). In the evening, we go out with a bang: one last Greek dinner with the whole crew, and then into the nightlife of Kos!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 8 (Saturday): Until next time!<\/strong> It&#8217;s a wrap. Time to check out. With (most likely) a healthy tan and a backpack full of new memories and friends. (Staying for another week? Then this is your chill day to explore Kos!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Crew:<\/strong> Minimum 5, maximum 8 adventurers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note: This is real sailing!<\/strong> The route is a plan, but the wind and weather have the final say.
