The Samos route is a perfect combination between active sailing and relaxation.
The first days, up to Samos, we sail close to the wind. This means that there are quite a few tough sailing days in between. As soon as we are at the height of Samos we sail half wind (a very relaxed course) and then downwind again towards Kos.
We recommend that you only book this trip if you have already spent a few days on a sailing yacht – we do not require sailing experience, but it is important that you are aware that the sailing days are longer, the weather is not always good and we regularly stay in a bay free at anchor, so we do not disembark or can only go ashore with the dinghy.
All our routes are indicative and subject to weather and wind conditions.
Day 1 (Thursday, arrival day)
Welcome abroad!
Today you will meet your fellow sailing buddies and the crew you will be sailing with. We will allocate the cabins and you will get a first introduction to how stuff works abroad.
Other than that you will have time to relax at the beach or set out to discover Kos town. In the evening we will have dinner together.
Day 2:
After a good breakfast and supplying the boat with fresh veggies and fruits we will depart from Kos Marina. If time allows, we will have a late lunch stop on Psermios, before we sail further to Kalimnos. On Kalimnos we will spend the night in Vathi Bay, where we will have dinner at a traditional Greek taverna. But before we go out for dinner there will be plenty of time to go swimming, snorkeling or supping. Vathi Bay also has very cool rocks to dive off from.
Day 3:
We will have a nice breakfast buffet before we set our course towards Lipsi Island.
Tonight we will spent the night in “blue lagoon”, with amazingly blue water (just like the name suggests)
Day 4:
Before we pick up anchor, there will be plenty of time to start the day with a refreshing morning swim and breakfast. We then set sail towards Agathonisi. If time and wind permits we will have a lunch stop on the eastern side of Arki, before making our way to Agathonisi.
Day 5:
Today we will arrive in Pythagoreio, a small city on the south-east coast of Samos.
We will stay in this beautiful place tonight and tomorrow, to ensure you have plenty of time to discover the city and the island of Samos.
Day 6:
Today we stay in Pythagoreio.
There are plenty of options to rent a car or scooter to set out to discover Samos Islands and all it’s secret spots.
Day 7:
After a swim stop on the south-side of Samos, we sail on to Marathokampos.
This traditional village shows Greece at its best…small tiny streets, with small taverns and boutiques, and numerous churches.
Day 8:
After a few days on Samos its time to cross to our next Island: Ikaria. Ikaria is named after the greek myth figure “Ikarus”, who is believed to have fallen into the sea close to Ikaria.
Day 9:
Today we will enjoy our lunch in a beautiful pristine bay, which allows to take a dip in the water, go snorkeling and taking the SUP out for a spin.
Afterwards we set course towards Karkinagri. Here we will drop anchor and have dinner onboard.
Day 10:
If the wind permits we will be able to sail towards Fourni. Fourni has numerous bays and tiny islands where we can drop anchor.
Day 11:
From here we slowly start making our way south, homebound towards Kos.
Tonight we will spend the night in Arki. Here we will have dinner at one of two restaurants that are settled on this small island.
On Arki you will also find a really nice small boutique, where you can buy great, unique souvenirs for your friends and family, and of course for yourself 😉
Day 12:
Today we sail to Leros. Leros is known for its lush green and its history. In 1911 Italians settled on Leros, which is clearly visible in its architecture.
Day 13:
This afternoon we will arrive back on Kos. However, we will surely have some time to make a great lunch stop, before we arrive back in Kos Marina.
After arrival we will celebrate our last evening together with our traditional BlueWaterSailing Happy Hour, pick a restaurant of our liking for dinner before we set out to dance the night away.
Day 14:
Today marks the end of our great trip together. Next to your fantastic tan you will take home a luggage load of new memories.
Number of participants: minimum 5 , max 8 .
